HAYWARD LEGENDS ADDED TO ABA EXPANSION

HAYWARD LEGENDS ADDED TO ABA EXPANSION
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the Hayward Legends to the growing list of expansion teams for the 2020 season. “It is amazing,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman, “how the ABA is growing as no other professional sports league in history. We are so pleased to be able to fulfill the dreams of so many to own a professional sports team. We’ve found the formula to make a team easier to own and operate than any other and it has really caught on. In Atom Lee Born, we’ve found another great owner.”
Atom Born (formerly Adam Chavis) made history when he led Hayward High to two league championship titles along with a visit to the State Championship in California. While on a full ride scholarship to Dominican University of California, he was two time Player of the Year in the California Pacific Conference and helped the team rise from the NAIA to the NCAA. Since then, Born has committed himself to bringing his lifetime passion for the game of basketball back to the city of Hayward. “We respect the ABA and its affiliations,” added Born. “We are preparing to enter a tough Far West Region but expect to be a force in the ABA Power Rankings. Basketball can cure sicknesses, it can positively affect lives, the sport can bring communities together, can teach respect….the Legends will train to win, bringing professional basketball, entertainment and community service to the City of Hayward.”
