Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the Oklahoma Tatanka to its growing list of teams set to begin play in November, 2019. “It is great to be returning to Oklahoma,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman, “and in Otis Logan Jr, we have a very experienced and knowledge owner.”
After graduating from Howard University, Otis started a long career as a public servant with the federal, state and local municipalities in Washington DC, New York and Virginia. He semi-retired from public service in 2014 and relocated to Muskogee, OK where he got back into the Ministry, launching a traveling TV Ministry called Greater Works Ministries and is currently in the process of launching The Greater Network, a streaming TV network which will broadcast original family-oriented programs. He was the former owner of the Muskogee
Scorpions football team in the Oklahoma Football League.
“Originally from Brooklyn NY, I grew up watching ABA greats like Dr. J, Bernard King, Artis Gilmore, Darnell Hillman and George Gervin,” added Logan. “And I played several sports before a knee injury. This is something I’ve wanted to do and I am excited about becoming a part of this great league.” The team will be based out of Muskogee, and will play games in Tulsa, Tahlequah and other Oklahoma cities.
