LILAC CITY LEGENDS ADDED TO ABA EXPANSION

Indianapolis, IN.

The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Lilac City Legends located in Spokane, WA have been added to the growing list of expansion teams scheduled to begin play in the 2020-2021 season.  “This is a wonderful addition to the Far West Division,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “We have been eager to add teams in the Pacific Northwest region. With the recent addition of Seattle WA and Portland OR, plus the terrific team already there, it will make for great competition and easy travel.”

The Lilac City Legends are owned by Michael Bethely, President of Bethely Entertainment Group, an entertainment company that looks to encourage, inspire and motivate people through uplifting and positive entertainment. “I am excited to combine my love for the game of basketball with my passion to serve and build community through love and entertainment,” added Bethely.  “I believe the city of Spokane, recently dubbed “Hooptown, USA” will embrace the team weith open arms and anticipation and hope also to make an immediate impact on the ABA.”
