LAREDO SWARM ENDS SEASON AS #1 ABA TEAM

The American Basketball Association (ABA) today released its Power Rankings for the final week of the season ending Sunday, March 6th, and the Laredo Swarm held onto the #1 position closely followed by the Miami Midnite and Jacksonville Giants. “This was the most closely balanced season ever,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “The difference between the top teams is very small. That should make for very interesting playoffs which begin next weekend.”

The ABA playoffs begin Saturday, March 12th with 7 divisional playoffs featuring 28 teams. Winners will play 7 bye teams the following weekend, with the winners of those games to go to Laredo Texas for the Final Eight starting Mon, April 4.
