ABA ANNOUNCES MAJOR EXPANSION PROGRAM – FOEIndianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) has announced a major expansion for next season. “This season saw huge growth,” stated ABA Co-founder Joe Newman, “but it is small compared to what’s happening already next season and our goal is to be even larger.”The ABA is currently the largest professional sports league in the US and also the most diversified with 75% of its ownership group being African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American and women.“There are many states where we do not have the coverage we want and need,” added Newman. “The ABA business model depends upon ground transportation, ease of travel, local rivalries. In spite of being so large, there are many areas that need additional teams. Included are Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska,Kansas, Western Canada and a couple of others. The new plan is called Focus on Expansion (FOE) which will make it easier than ever before to own an ABA team. Included in FOE will be the best expansion team program ever offered new team owners, a plan that covers every element of ABA business and operational management to help insure success and profibility.Key ABA personnel have been assigned to FOE to insure the program’s success and the new expansion team owner’s success.
