ABA NEEDS ADDITIONAL REFEREES FOR UPCOMING 2021-2022 SEASON
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it is expanding its roster of ABA officials for the upcoming season starting in November. “We have had record-setting expansion,” stated ABA CEO, “and we could have as many as 100 games each weekend. With three officials assigned to each game, that’s as many as 300 referees needed over the weekend.”
“The ABA game is the most exciting basketball being played,” added Tom Chichester, ABA Director of Officials. “With our combination of NBA, NCAA and international rules along with our own unique ABA rules, creating high scoring, full-court action, there’s nothing quite like it.”
The ABA is broken down into 8 Regions and 16 Divisions from coast to coast. The regular season runs from November 6th through March 8. High school, AAU, college or professional experience is preferred; the ABA is a full-opportunity organization and currently includes many women officials.
