ABA ADDS ROCKFORD REDBLACKS TO EXPANSION
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the Rockford Redblacks to its record-setting expansion.  “We are very excited to have J.R. Robinson and his team as part of the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.  “J.R. has been a promoter of the character and leadership values that basketball contributes to society; he is considered a local leader as an advocate against domestic violence and sexual assault.  His transformational leadership approach promotes professional development of staff, players, coaches and officials by applying a vision of clarity, consistency and credibility to all aspects of basketball operations.”
As the Owner, President and GM of the team. J.R. manages and oversees all aspects of scouting, personnel, player
acquisitions and transactions as well as all team operations.  With community involvement being integral to Robinson’s focus with the team, he also guides the team’s player appearance committee in partnership with the business side of the Redblacks’ organization.
“It is a blessing to be serving our fans and community,” added Robinson.  “Basketball transcends race, age, gender and other elements of society and creates community by bringing people together across our great nation.  The future of
basketball is bright because the integration of technology, technique and rule adjustments are making our game progressively better and I am pleased to be a part of the ABA.”
Thanks.
