ABA FINAL 8 & ALL STAR GAME TO BE AVAILABLE ON PAY-PER-VIEW
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Final 8 Tournament and ABA All Star Game scheduled to be played in St. Louis April 15-18 will be available on Pay-per-View because of the limited fan capacity due to Covid-19 guidelines. “We know that the ABA game, with its unique rules and highly skilled players present the highest scoring, fastest-paced, most exciting basketball being played,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And now the world will get to see what ABA fans have seen for many years. There will be 7 playoff of games plus the All Star Game at one low price of $12 (early bird special) with a higher price as we get closer to the event.”
The league’s playin rounds begin Friday, March 19th as the various divisions compete for their spot in the ABA Final 8. The Jacksonville Giants are the defending ABA Champions. The ABA All Star team will be selected later this month and announced Monday, April 5th. The ABA has competed with only about 75 teams out of nearly 200 teams this season due to Covid-19 and venue restrictions. The league expects to begin next season back to normal with over 200 teams with the largest expansion in its history.
