HAROLD WHALEY NAMED CEO OF ABA’S ASRG/SEAT BIZ VENUE PROGRAM

Indianapolis, IN.  The American Basketball Association (ABA)  today announced that Harold Whaley has been named Chief Operation Officer (CEO) of the ABA’s major venue/entertainment initiative, ASRG/Seat Biz..
“The ABA launched ASRG/Seat Biz last spring, but due to Covid 19, we put the project on the shelf temporarily,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.  “With the pandemic on the downswing and things opening up again,
we’ve decided to re-start the program  with the goal of building the first ten 2500-seat all capacity venues in the next year.  We are very fortunate to have Harold Whaley overseeing the entire project as CEO.  Harold has been
with the ABA as VP of Strategic Development for over 10 years and has an extraordinary background in real estate development,  sports and entertainment.”
ASRG is ABA Sports Realty Group.  Seat Biz provides an opportunity for the public to purchase a seat at a venue and receive a return on the investment each time a seat is sold for a sporting event like
basketball, wrestling, boxing, roller derby, MMA or a  rap, hip hop, rock, country or other concert.  “Seat Biz is like owning an ATM machine or gumball machine,” added Whaley.  “Minimum investment, great potential return.”
One of the biggest problems that ABA teams have faced is securing venues for its games.  The primary venues are colleges and high schools and often schedules conflict.  Having their own venues as well as generating revenue
from so many other types of events will make ownership of an ABA team even greater.

The ABA is the largest professional sports league in the US with over 200 teams. It is also the most diversified professional sports league with over 75% of its teams being owned by African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians and
women.  The ABA also owns the WABA, ABA Mexico, ABA Canada, ABA Australia, ABA Caribbean and ABA Canada. The league will launch its ABA TV Network next season with 7 different cable, satellite, streaming platforms carrying dozens of ABA games
each week to millions of fans nationally and internationally.   For more information, visit www.asrgbiz.com or www.abaliveaction.com.
