PORTLAND STORM TO BECOME FULL ABA TEAM
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Portland Storm will transition from a travelling team to a full ABA team when the season begins again in November. “We’re very happy that Curtis Hill made this decision,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “He did a great job last season and is another example of a former ABA player becoming a team owner.”
“We’re dedicated to helping our players develop into professional on and off the court,” added Hill, “as well as growing new basketball fans and providing great entertainment,value and service for the community. We desire to give our players a platform to showcase their skills to advance their playing careers while teaching them service within the community.”
The Storm will be coached by Hill, Maxwell D’Auvergne and Jeff Perrault and will play their home
games at The Practice Facilityh which features the old Staples Center court used by the
Los Angeles Clippers.
