WILSON WILD ADDED TO ABA 2020 EXPANSION

Indianapolis, IN.

The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Wilson Wild in Wilson, NC has been added to the record-setting list of expansion teams for the upcoming season beginning in November. “We are very excited to add the Wild to the league,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “We want and need more teams in North Carolina and have found a great new owner in Jason Lampa, the team owner. Jason will provide a high level of basketball entertainment for the people of Wilson and the surrounding communities.”

After a successful high school and college career, Mr. Lampa received his MBA from Seton Hall University and has spent 19 years in the financial services industry representing firms such as Citigroup, Oppenheimer Funds and New York Life and currently works with Pick Picken’s Insurance Agency in Wilson. During his career in financial sales, he has generated more than $3 billion in sales.

“We are going to dedicate our efforts to involve the youth and adult basketball leagues in the area by supportingseveral AAU teams,” added Lampa. “And we are going to provide former college players with the opportunity to continue their basketball careers.”
