MIDWEST FALCONS LATEST ABA EXPANSION TEAM SET TO PLAY IN 2020
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced its latest expansion team set for the 2020-2021 season, the Midwest Falcons, located in Aurora IL. “This is very exciting indeed,” stated ABA CEO. “Darnell Coleman is another ABA played who has jumped from being a player to being an owner. This was one of Dick Tinkham’s and my goals when we originally brought back the ABA in
2000; a platform designed to help extend the basketball careers of plays via coaching, general management or ownership. And it is working beautifully has we now have over a dozen present and former ABA players in all of these capacities. Greal to have Darnell aboard.”
After graduating from Simeon High School in Chicago where he starred, Coleman played basketball at
both Wauboneee College and East West University and later coached and officiated at the high school level. He then joined his close friend Rodney Williams as an part owner/player with the ABA Illinois Bulldogs and also played one season for the ABA Illinois Panthers. “Now, here I am getting older and
realizing I have much more to offer about basketball,” added Coleman, “and I have an opportunity to give the next generation a platform to get a step closer to being a pro…and I am really looking forward to the challenge.”
Thanks,
Joe Newman
ABA CEO
