Pittsburgh, PA . The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it will be selecting 80% of the league’s All Star Team via fan nominations and votes. Previously, the ABA All Star Team was selected by ABA coaches. “There was nothing wrong with how the All Stars were selected in the past,” state Antjuan “Tjuan Benafactor” Washington, CEO of ABA Media & Entertainment. “We decided it was time to put the power and input in the fans hands so they can help tell us who they want to see representing their city at ABA All Star Weekend in April.”
The ABA All Star nomination process is well underway. Fans, family, players, coaches and everyone can jump on line to nominate their favorite ABA players from now until January 31. Visit http://abamediaent.com/all-star-nominations to vote. Nominations will be calculated; the top 10 players in each position will move forward to the voting round which will begin on February 3rd. The 2019 ABA All Star team will be announced on www.abaliveaction.com and www.abamediaent.com on March 17.
This season’s ABA All Star Game and ABA All Star Weekend festivities will be held in Pittsburgh, PAApril 26 & 27, 2019. The weekend will be hosted by the defending North Central Regional Champion Steel City Yellow Jackets.
