Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today released its Power Rankings for the week ending Sunday, December 16th, and the Syracuse Stallions maintained the #1 position by a slight margin over both the San Francisco City Cats and the Wyoming Valley Clutch. “It’s interesting that all three of the top teams are first year teams,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. These teams are strong and will need to keep winning as some of the veteran teams are very strong also. It took 6 games to qualify this week; the defending ABA Champions, the Jacksonville Giants, won 5 games this week and you can look for them to move up in the rankings shortly.
