ABA RETURNS TO LOUISVILLE, KY


Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA)www.abaliveaction.comtoday announced that it has returned to Louisville, KY with the addition of the Louisville Legacy which will begin playing in the upcoming season. “Louisville and the old Kentucky Colonels were great parts of the original ABA,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “And we had a pretty good team there in the new ABA several years ago before the owners retired. So we are specially pleased to be back again with two very experienced owners, Paris Cherry and James Schooler.
Paris Cherry was the former owner of the ABA Boston Conquerors who relocated to Louisville. He is a former Div 1 player and ABA player who is also Head Coach at Highland Latin Middle School in Louisville as well as pro basketball trainer and founder of HoopsMasterz Basketball Training.
James Schooler is an award-winning coach in the Louisville area and serves as Head Coach for Fern Creek High School which made the KY State Finals for the past two seasons and was the winner of the prestigious Kentucky Bluegrass Tournament in 2017. He also won the KY state Coach of the Year award in 2017. Coach Schooler also serves as Director of Go Hard in the Paint Basketball Academy as well as Schooler Prep Academy and has coached and trained the areas best players. For more information,
