Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Dallas Dunk has been added to its growing list of expansion teams for the upcoming season. The team will be co-owned by Marlon Minifee and LeMoure Stephens, past owners of the Laredo Swarm. They will be joined by NFL Cowboys defensive end Charles Tapper, former University of Oklahoma star selected in the 4th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Tapper was also a star basketball player in Baltimore, MD.
“I have always love basketball,” stated Tapper. “So when Marlon and LeMoure extended the offer for me to be a part of the Dallas Dunk, I was like, “man, this was a no brainer for me. You are doing great things for kids and bringing the community together with something positive so I’m extremely excited about the upcoming season.”
“I’m really pleased to have Marlon and LeMoure back in the ABA,” added Joe Newman, ABA co-founder. “They’re great owners, Marlon has been an important part of the league for many years and now with Charles as part of their organization, we see nothing but good things ahead for them.” The Dallas Dunm will be playingall of their home games at the prestigious Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, TX.
