ABA RETURNS TO LITTLE ROCK, AR


Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it will be returning next season with a team in Little Rock, AR. “This is long overdue,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “The Championship Game in Little Rock many years ago had nearly 15,000 fans, the largest number of fans ever to attend an ABA game. We are definitely excited to be back and we have a great new owner also.”
The team will be owned by Charles Johnson, a basketball coach and busiess entrepreneur who works with players on the fundamentals of shooting and other aspects of the game. He played on the 1979 National Junior College Association National Championship Three Rivers Raiders team as well as Southeast Missouri State University and Baptist Bible College. After receiving his degree from Southeast Missouri State, he pursued a business career as well as coaching and scouting.
“I am really looking forward to organizing, coaching and promoting a successful new team in the ABA and believe that
