ABA RETURNS TO OWENSBORO, KY

Indianapolis, IN.

The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it will be returning to Owensboro KY starting in November. “Owensboro was a great ABA city, the home of the ABA Champion Kentucky Bisons,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “A great team with great fan support; we are very happy to be back.”

The team’s primary owner will be Antjuan “Tjuan Benefactor” Washington, CEO of ABA Media and Entertainment and several other ABA teams. The co-owner is Dustin Driskell, co-owner of the ABA Kentucky Enforcers who will serve as Director of Basketball Operations for the Colonels. The Enforcers will meet the Colonels in the opening game on November 4th.

“There’s amazing talent throughout Kentucky,” added Driskell. “I’m excited to dig in and find the best of the best players in Owensboro and the surrounding area.”

“We are excited to be in Owensboro; it’s a great city steeped in basketball tradition,” commented Washington. “Regardless where you catch a Colonels game, I guarantee you that it will be a family friendly, fun, entertaining, affordable and exciting time for all.” The Colonels will be holding tryouts in mid-September for players, dance team and cheerleaders.
