Wildcatz to host open tryout on FSU”ˆcampus

FAIRMONT – As the inaugural season for the American Basketball Association’s West Virginia Wildcatz approaches, owner Antjuan Washington and general manager Don Petteway, both of whom have strong ties to the Fairmont area, are looking to fill out the remaining spots on the Wildcatz’s roster

In order to do this, the team will host hopeful players at an open tryout Saturday at the Falcon Center on the Fairmont State campus.

The tryout, which begins at 5 p.m., is open to anyone between the ages of 18 to 35, with players off all basketball backgrounds welcome to attend.

“We have players come into the ABA that never played high school basketball but have played in rec leagues, AAU or summer leagues,” Washington said. “If you can play ball just come and bring your best game forth.”
