ILLINOIS BULLDOGS ADDED TO ABA LINE-UP
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Illinois Bulldogs have been added to the growing number of teams scheduled to begin play in November.
“We are very pleased to have Rodney Williams as part of the ABA,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “Rod is another former ABA player who has made the transition from the court to ownership..and we anticipate a great operation on and off the court.”
Located in Chicago, IL, Rodney is also CEO and Head Coach for the Ch-Town Bulldogs Small Fry Basketball organization which is a not-for-profit organization geared towards building fundamentals in basketball and life skills for the inner city youth of Chicago.
“My goal with our ABA team is to insure that each player exceeds the level of the ABA and makes something of his dream to play pro basketball,” added Williams. “While it has always been my dream to play professionally, owning and operating a team is more of a satisfaction. There is no bettr feeling then knowing your organization is the reason so many players will excel in their profession.”
The team has scheduled its first tryouts forSunday, August 6thfrom 330-6 at the Hales Franciscan High School, 4930 S. Cottage Grove, Chicago, IL 60655.
