OUTTATOWNERS NEW ENGLAND ADDED TO ABA
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Outtatowners New England has been added to its growing list of expansion teams for the upcoming season. “This has been a remarkable year for expansion,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “But not totally unexpected. We’ve made it easier to own and operate an ABA team than any other and we do provide the best business plan in professional sports. A tough combination to beat.”
Owner/coach Jarren Smif returns for a second season having coached another ABA team last season. The Outtatowners will be based out of Framingham MA and will play in the Northeast Division. Coach Smith begin his coaching under Dana Barros of the Boston Celtics after suffering playing career-ending injuries. Born in Springfield MA, the birthplace of basketball, Smif competed collegiately at Division II while early his degree. “We plan to operate professionally and look forward to a progressive future in the ABA,” added Smif.
