ABA WELCOMES WNY THUNDERSNOW TO LEAGUE
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the WNY Thundersnow has joined the league and will begin play this season. “Actually, we had closed out expansion for this year with a record number of new teams,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “But Don Felice’s team had been playing in another professional basketball league for several years and is 100% ready to go. Located in Niagara Falls, NY, it is a great fit for our Northeast Division.”
Donald Felice is a retired professional cyclist who won the Bronze Medal in 2008 Masters of the Pan American Games and is currently a sports agent and sports entertainment entrepreneur. “We’re very pleased to be a part of the ABA, especially during the 50th Anniversary Celebration of this iconic league,” stated Felice. “With only three months to go prior to the start of the season and our home opener versus the Elmira Eagles on November 27th, we have a lot to do. Fortunately, I’ve been able to put together a tremendous group of people including Team Advisor Frank Rotundo, Head Coach Jody Crymsm, and Game Day Operations Director Jeremy Milicia and several others. We’ll be ready.”
