ABA LEAGUE MEETING IN LAS VEGAS INTRODUCES NEW INITIATIVES

Indianapolis, IN. 

The American Basketball Association (ABA) held its annual League Meeting at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 14th, and introduced a variety of new initiatives set to begin in November.  “It was an exciting meeting that lasted nearly 11 hours,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.   “While all of the 180+  teams were not there, the attendance was terrific and the various programs presented were well done and well received.  Following a reduced season last year due to Covid-19, we’re anticipating a fabulous season.”

Among the new initiatives presented were Operation Upgrade, ABA Tickets, Junior ABA, the new ABA TV Network and ABA TV Channels, High Tech Marketing, Online Management System, ABA Midnight Basketball, ABA Gold Summer League,  ABA International Expansion, Financial Planning, new Stat Program, New Playoff Format, and several other programs. .  “All of the teams are being provided with a recap of the 28 subjects covered at the meeting,” added Newman.  “The ABA is more than just a game and the league meeting certainly showed how much more.”
