The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Kimberly Clark, owner of the Magic City Surge, has been named VP of PR/Social Media for the league.”I really believe that the ABA has underachieved in both its public relations and social media,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “We have a remarkable story to tell – our size, diversity and some incredible social and community programs, and really need to let the world know about them better. Kim is the perfect person to get that job done.”
Nominated for the 2019 Summit Media Minority Business Awards for Entrepreneur of the Year, the Honoree for Women’s History Month at the University of Montevallo, Kimberly Meadows Clark has received many accolades including but not limited to the Amelia Boynton Robinson Woman of Valor Award for Leadership by Tuskegee University, Jefferson County Millennial Democrats Award for Business Leadership, “Game Changer” Award from IAG and was recognized by the Young Black Progressive Caucus as a leader of Women of Color. She has also been recognized by Metro Birmingham Chapter of the NAACP for Outstanding Community Service. Mrs. Clarkhas been recognized nationally by the US Public Health Serivce and Interprofessional Education Collaborative. “I am very excited and honored to be named to this position,” added Mrs. Clark. “And with the new ABA TV Network and ABA Radio Network coming this year, we will have some dynamic new platforms to share the incredible story of the ABA as well as many great social media platforms.”
