EAST BAY KINGS ADDED TO RECORD-SETTING EXPANSION
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the East Bay Kings to its record-setting expansion. “Even while we’ve been virtually shutdown due to Covid-19 since early this spring, it hasn’t stopped interest in the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “I believe the sports world is becoming very aware of our growth and all of the groundbreaking things we’ve been doing like the ABA TV Network and our ABA Sports Realty Group (ASRG) and the venues we plan to build for our teams and more more people want to become a part of it.”
The East Bay Kings represent the East Bay Area of Northern California and will join the fabulous Pacific Division made up of teams in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, and New Mexico. The organization was founded by formeer Division I college and arena football player turned rapper and entrepreneur Lorenzo King aka Renz Julian of Field of Dreams Entertainment/Empire. As a playground streetballer, Renz has competed in Nike/FIBA 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, and has also played in several professional football and basketball leagues. “I am now ready to bring an entertaining style to the ABA,” added King. “And I’m pleased to have ABA player Brian “Ball World Peace” Parker to bring his experience as player/coach and help build out and develop the team.”
Be careful. Be safe.
