DERRY ROCKETS ADDED TO ABA 2020 EXPANSION TEAMS
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Derry Rockets located in Derry NH has been added to the growing roster of team getting set to begin play in November. “We are very pleased with our expanion in New England,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman, “and in David Spero, the former Head Coach of the Plaistow Shockers, we feel we have a great new owner.”
The Derry Rockets will play at the New England Sports Center with a yearly footprint of over 750,000 people. “Most patrons are already there for either AAU basketball, soccer leagues, baseball or some other organized sports event,” added Spero. “It should be enticing to come to catch a game in the same location expecially with all of the amenities provided. The venue has skybox seating, a fully stocked bar and concession area.”
“I wanted to bring a production level to the area that has no equal. Being involved in local business for most of my adult life, I learned what works and what doesn’t and want to bring something new, fresh and exciting to Derry. This was the perfect opportunity and a perfect venue for the ABA.”
Have a good Super Bowl weekend.
