LAS VEGAS DIAMONDBACKS SET TO PLAY IN 2020
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the Las Vegas Diamondbacks that will begin play in November. “Las Vegas is quickly becoming a major sports capital as well the the US gaming and entertainment capital,” stated ABA CEO. “The NFL and NHL are both there, we expect the NBA, MLB and MLS will soon follow because of the millions of visitors to the city as well as a large local population. Definitely room for several ABA teams.”
The team will be owned by Big Keith Bowen, a former Hall of Fame NY High School basketball player who relocated to Las Vegas after working as a Tour Manager with Def Jam Recordings. Currently, he works with Bully Busters 702, an anti-bullying organization as well as a Special Instructor with the
100 Academy School of Excellence, a consultant to the Housing Authority and a radio on-air personality.
He is also a member of the Clark County School Board and a Consultant for the Las Vegas Urban League. “I’m really excited about this new challenge,” stated Bowen. “It really fits well with my other
initiatives.”
Thanks,
Joe Newman
ABA CEO
