HARRISBURG, PA ADDED TO 2020ABA EXPANSION TEAMS
Indianapolis, IN.
The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added Harrisburg, PA to its record-setting expansion for the 2020 season. “Actually, Harrisburg is long overdue,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “It’s a great city and it sits between the North Central and Mid-Atlantic Divisions so the team can go east and west and have a terrific schedule. And we have a terrific young own in Josiah Malachi Peay, a 30 year old native of Brookly and Queens NY who now resides with his family in Middletown OH.
The team will be known as Peay Basketball. After starring in both high school basketball and some of NYC’s best tournaments, Peay played basketball for the University of Maine where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations; he has also played in the ABA for the last two seasons. “…I currently do basketball at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim PA, the largest indoor sports complex in the USA,” added Peay. “I am really excited about this opportunity to be part of theABA family. Central PA is a market that needs some excitement and I’m happy to bring it here.”
