SUGARLAND SLAM ADDED TO RECORD-SETTING EXPANSION

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the Sugarland Slam in Sugarland, Texas to its record-setting expansion for the 2020 season. “I am often asked why and how the ABA is expanding like no other professional sports league in history,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “There are multiple answers including but not limited to our amazing unequaled diversity, the ease of owning and operating an ABA team, and our business model which is second to none. We are very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish.”
The Sugarland Slam is owned by Nat Latman, an accomplished Senior Manager with a comprehensive background in achieving core business objectives and positively impacting bottom-line performance in highly competitive industries, including the Restaurant and Hospitality fields. He is co-owner of the Houston Heat (woman’s football). “I am excited to bring professional basketball to Sugarland,” added Latman. I know they will enjoy our fast-paced, high flying type of basketball and we plan on bringing Sugarland their first professional championship.”
Other team executives include:
Wendell Mckines Jr, VP of Basketball Operations
Tiffany Soucie, VP of Marketing
Laura Cantu, VP of Community Relations
Nathanael Sherrod, Director of Corporate Development
