PORTLAND FREEZE ADDED TO ABA EXPANSION TEAMS

PORTLAND FREEZE ADDED TO ABA EXPANSION TEAMS
Indianapolis, IN.  The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Portland Freeze has been added to the Far West Region of the league and will begin play in November.  “This is certainly a late addition,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman,” but we have a very good owner with previous ABA ownership experience and know that he can put together a
quality organization in a very short time plus we definitely want to be in Oregon, a great fit.”
The team is owned by Kendalle J. Delaney Sr., original owner of the ABA Chicago Fury.  A former college football player
and professional football coach with several championships to his credit, he moved into basketball ownership and coaching ten years ago.  “I have been eager to get back into the ABA and looked at several markets,” stated Delaney.  “I believe Portland is going to be a great city to have an ABA team and we are going to work hard to create a solid organization on and off the court.”
