SAN JOSE KNIGHTSADDED TO ABA EXPANSION

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the San Jose Knights have been added to the league and will begin play in November. “We’ve had remarkable expansion for the upcoming season with several new teams in the Far West Region,” stated Joe Newman. “And we are very excited to add Everson Lacerda and his team to the list. San Jose is a great city and I have no doubt that this team will be successful on and off the court.”

Everson Lacerda, originally from Brazil, graduated in business from St. Thomas University. His team won the Sun Belt Conference. He also played for University of Pacific NCAA D1 Stockton CA and his team

won the Big West Conference. Followed college, Lacerda played professionally for five years in Brazil NBB and is currently Food & Beverage Manager for Hotel Valencia and owns One Step Closer Basketball at which he provides basketball training and clinics. “I am very pleased and proud to be a part of the great ABA,” added Lacerda. “We have a very strong division with many excellent teams and we are looking forward to the challenge.”
