Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Central Jersey Sharks have been added to the roster of teams that will begin play in November. “We are pleased to add our second team to the state of New Jersey,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “The Jersey Express is the oldest team in the ABA and we’ve been waiting a long time to have another team there and are very excited about adding the Sharks.”
The team will be owned by Ralph Ayala, a former Manhattan Community College and Morristown County college player. “This has been a long time dream of mine, to play in and to own a professional basketball team, and now, I have that opportunity in the ABA,” added Ayala. “I have some big shoes to follow Marsha Blount and the Express, and I’m going to do everything I can to make this team a successful one.” For more information about tickets, tryouts, email[email protected]or visitwww.abaliveaction.com.
