ALEXANDRIA ARMOR  ADDED TO ABA EXPANSION


Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Alexandria Armor, located in Alexandria, Louisiana has been added to the growing list of expansion teams set to begin
play in November. The team will be owned by professional basketball player Albert Strictland III, who has played pro ball from 2004-2017in Greece, France, China, Mexico, Chile and Dubai as well as the ABA
with the San Antonio Showboats, Texas Fuel, West Texas Whirlwind and the Laredo Swarm. A two-time
ABA All Star, Strictland has competed in the ABA Finals two times. “We are expecially pleased to have Al as part of the ABA ownership group. He has been a great player and this is a natural progression in a long and illustrious career in basketball,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “He has also coached in the ABA last season with the San Antonio Blaze. We expect great things to come.”
“I have mentored and coached kids starting from Reach Legends where I attended as a kid,” added Strictland. “I have also coachedf camps at University of Michigan Jerry Stackhouse, University of
Missouri Jr ABDC Camp. This team will help create Youth Basketball clinics too. I am very excited to
take this next step in my career and will do everything I can to be successful on and off the court.”
