Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the
Waldorf Spartans to its record-setting expansion for the upcoming season. “We are very excited to
have Randy Lester and his team as part of the ABA,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “He is going to be a great owner with excellent experience both on and off the court.”
The team is located in Clark County MD, about 23 miles southeast of Washington DC and will play in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Randy Lester is the owner of Grind n Shine Cleaning Services who previously played and coached basketball for ten years. He is also a corporate trainer and workshop leader.
“I have been determined to build a solid foundation and to help others,” added Lester. “I started the cleaning business to help others find job opportunities. I hope to offer a wide range of coaching and
inspiration to uplift and empower those in the community to better versions of themselves. I am really excited about the opportunity to join the ABA and bring professional basketball to our city.
“I would also like to put a special thanks to Johnathan Copeland that took time out of his busy schedule to help me establish our team.”
