Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added a team in Colorado Springs to its fast-growing 2018 expansion. “We are extremely excited about this team,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “The Colorado Kings have been our only Colorado team and now this team will provide good competition and easy travel too.”
The team is owned by Kenyada A. Lattimore Sr., a retired USAF
Disabled American Veteran/Wounded Warrior. “I am passionate about sports, education, economic empowerment and health,” added Lattimore. “And we intend to make our team one of the best in the ABA on and off the court.”
Lattimore has been a Development and Shooting Coach since 1997, holds both a Bachelors Degree in Sports and Health Science and will receive his Master in Sports Management in 2019. He also completed tours in Iraq and Afghanistan among multiple tours overseas and has coached at the middle and high school levels.
