SUNRISE JEWELS LATE ABA ENTRY

Indianapolis, IN.  The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Sunrise Jewels will begin play when the 2017-2018 season begins in early November.  “It might seem late to be adding a team,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman, “but actually the owners have  been working all spring and summer putting things together and have been working closely with Lori Novak the Division Chairman of Florida and the owner of the South Florida Gold. Michale Watson the President of the ABA says they are ready to compete this year and he has been working to ensure this.

 
The team will be co-owned by Evaristo Pangillnan, a native of the Philippines and a graduate of the Cebu Institute of Technology and Central Colleges of the Philippines.  He is currently working for the FAA Federal Aviation Administration in Miami, FL and has an extensive background in sports and Business.  Mr. Pangillnan is the President of the Sinulog Festival of Miami, formerly Vice Chairman of the Asian American Basketball League, Chairman of Philam Sports, former City Director of Filipino Basketball Assn of South Florida and will serve as Head Coach of the Jewels.
