ABA Welcomes Tacoma Tigers in 2018

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the Tacoma Tigers to its PacNW Division starting in 2018.  “We are extremely pleased to be adding another team to this Division,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “The division has been underdeveloped but looks like it will grow rapidly under the supervision of Don Sims and David Williams.

The Tacoma Tigers will be owned by Don Sims, who also owns the ABA Seattle Mountaineers which is in its 12th season. Don has been coaching all levels of  basketball for 10 years and has coached in Canada, England, Portugal, New Zealand and Denmark as well as NCAA Division 1.  “We’re very excited about adding this new team which will be coached by Randy Redwine,” added Sims.  “Our goal is to have 6-8 strong teams in the PacNW next season and to compete for the ABA Championship.  We’re very excited.”
