UTAH STARS RETURN TO THE ABA
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Utah Stars will be returning to the league starting next season. “We’re really pleased about this,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “The Stars were an important part of the ABA several years ago. We just didn’t have enough teams in the area to develop a good schedule with easy travel, and thus, they had to discontinue operations. Now, with two teams in Colorado, two in Arizona, three in Nevada, and a couple of others working, that is no longer the case – and we welcome Kenny Wamsley and his great organization back.”
Newman continued, “Kenny knows both basketball and business as he has been in sales and marketing for over 15 years. We expect great things from him.” “I am very hard working, passionate and determined,” added Wamsley. “I am very excited to be back in the ABA. We will be holding a tryout camp later in April also.”
Thanks,
Joe Newman
