ABA RETURNS TO WEST VIRGINIA
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced it would be returning to West Virginia with the addition of the West Virginia Coalminerz for the 2017 season. The team will be located in Fairmont, WV and will be owned by ABA Media & Entertainment CEO Tjuan “Benafactor” Washington. “Tjuan wears many hats in the ABA,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “And included is ownership of several teams including the Los Angeles Palm and Twin Cities Jazz in Louisiana. We know this one will be successful has Tjuan has put together an excellent management team.”
Team Vice Presidents include Don Petteway, Joshua Caulk and Seanna Neal, while the GM is a former ABA player, Rick Hill, who will also play for the Coalminerz. Don Petteway will serve as Head Coach with shooting guard Adrian Summerfield, who works for the WV Department of Corrections running the physical fitness program for the prison will also serve in that capacity for the team. “I am very confident that this group of individuals will put together a great team on and off the court and we are looking forward to making ABA basketball in West Virginia a success,” addedWashington.
