Texas Cagers Return to the ABA

Indianapolis, IN.  The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Texas Cagers will return to the league when play begins in November.  “We are very pleased to have Adam Taylor and his fine organization back after a two year hiatus,” stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. “They are a very special group of people and a great fit for our Southwest Division as they are located near Dallas.”
“It’s a great day for the IQ Hoops organization, and the “CAGER’ nation could not be happier about this move,” added Taylor. “It really fits who we are as an outreach, ministry and organization and this will give us opportunity to have a greater impact on our communities and be used on a greater scale.”
This past season, Taylor was the top assistant coach at Grandview High School in Grandview TX where he worked under head coach Steve Montgomery and helped lead the Zebras to the UIL District 3A-11 regular season championship and the UIL Regional Championship game.  Taylor was also Director of Athletics and Head Basketball Coach at Randall University and Director of Basketball Operations at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he coach NCAA Division 1 basketball.  “With 15 years of collegiate and 3 years of high school coaching, we think Adam will be a great success,” continued Newman.  “He appears to be doing everything right.”
