ABA ADDS CHARLOTTE RAMS TO EXPANSION TEAMS
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Charlotte Rams have been added to the roster of expansion teams for the upcoming season. "The team will be owned by Karl Wilkes, internationally renowned American artist (see www.karlwilkesart.com)," stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman, "a man who also has a fabulous business and basketball background. He will be adding much to the ABA in a variety of ways."

Karl Wilkes is a second-generation basketball player professionally trained by his uncle Jamaal Wilkes, who played 12 years in the NBA, 8 years with the Los Angeles Lakers, won 4 NBA Championship titles and was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. Karl graduated from Clemson University and is also a motivational speaker for Fortune 500 companies and is recognized as an International Award Winning Artist. He played professional basketball internationally and has been a coach and trainer for many years including Head Coach of USA Youth Camp Development.

"I'm really looking forward to being a part of the ABA," added Wilkes. "I also plan to use my experience in basketball to be the Head Coach of the Rams as well as the owner. We will be competitive. Plus, with my art background, you can be sure our team merchandise will be second to none."
